In recent years, many festival organizers have considered it valuable to include guitar building classes and discussions in their festival itineraries. Due to the tremendous interest in the millennium design Mr. Humphrey has become one of the most sought after and active teachers called upon to conduct these classes. He has given these classes in Paracho, Mexico, a town specifically known for it’s guitar making and at the Festival of August and Alirio Diaz competition in Caracus, Venezuela as well as being a regular at the guitar festival in Nurtingen, Germany.

These courses include the construction of the Millennium guitar from semi-prepared parts, as well as dialog on guitar design and the principals of acoustics. The classes are attended by a large range of students from the hobbyist to the experienced guitar builder and have inspired many of those participating to think beyond the traditional concepts of guitar building.There are future classes planned in the United States in conjunction with the Guitar building school in Healdsburg, California.
