Q. How did you come up with the idea for the Millennium guitar?

A. The eleveation of the fingerboard casusing a significant change of angle of string to soundboard is probably just an outgrowth of modern classical guitar design, but the "Millennium" guitar as a whole came to me as an image in a dream.

Q, What materials do you commonly use?

A. I have a good supply of pre-C.I.T.E.S. Brazilian rosewood. I also have aged German and American spruce and cedar. The fingerboards are ebony on a Spanish cedar neck. I use really high quality tuning gears. Basically, any and all materials are available to me.

Q. What kind of varnish do you prefer?

A. I French polish shellac onto the entire guitar. In the past, I have used lacquer on the back, sides and neck only.

Q. What scale length do you use?

A. Mostly my pre-Millennium guitars are 660mm, as well as a few early millenniums, but most millenniums are 650mm. I do, however, like to build other lengths when requested.

Q. What other models do you build?

A. The seven-string guitars with the two fret bass extension behind the nut is a very popular model. I also will build 8 and 10 string guitars. I like very much to hear what a player wants from his instrument, then I will try to see if I can build it. I have built some very unusual guitars!

Q. How long does it take to get a guitar?

A. I do my best to deliver a guitar in three years.

Q. What do you require to place an order?

A. I require a non-refundable deposit of $1,000(US) toward the price of the guitar, which is $12,000(US), to be officially placed on the list. You will be notified in advance and can either retrieve the guitar, or have it shipped - case included.
